Myles Finn is currently teaching drama at the American International School of Zagreb. Now in his 11th year of teaching, he recently concluded seven years as Choral Director at Indianola High School in Indianola, Iowa. During his time there, he directed The Indianola Singers, The Apollo Chorus, and Cantare, as well as the varsity show choir Side One. Together with his wife, he also brought to life numerous musicals at Indianola High School, including Disney’s Newsies, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, The Sound of Music, The Addams Family, The Wizard of Oz, and Footloose.

Myles gained international recognition when his TikTok videos went viral at the start of the 2022 school year, amassing over 275 million views and more than 1.7 million followers. His blend of humor, heart, and passion has helped spark renewed excitement for choral music, musical theatre, and the delightfully quirky world of choir directors.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Choral Conducting from Michigan State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. Myles credits his teaching success to the mentorship of Dr. Lee Nelson at Wartburg, the rigorous training he received at Michigan State, and the early influence of his high school choir director, Duane Philgreen.

Beyond the classroom, Myles is a devoted husband and father. He and his wife, choreographer and school counselor Haley (Rudd) Finn, are the proud parents of Rory and Lyra. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, reading, gaming, and making memories with his family.
